MONDAY NIGHT WITH MILT

    Dawn Tassler , Executive Director of Growing Up Together and Ruby L. Douglas, Community Prevention Networker, Capital Area Counseling Service, Inc., have joined forces to sponsor, a Community  Event.
     The event,
“Monday Night with Milt” will be held at 6:00 PM on March 29, 2010 at the Pierre Indian Learning Center.  Students in 5th grade through High School and their parents are invited to attend an entertaining and educational presentation.   The event is FREE to the public but limited to 200 people.
    Milton Creagh will present a motivational program "Can't We All Just Get Along?"  This presentation encourages students to take personal responsibility for the inclusion of others.  The issues of bullying and diversity are addressed head-on.
 

Milton Creagh, aka Big Milt, is best known for his hard-hitting, inspirational talks to high school students.  Milt attended Bethune-Cookman College on a combination athletic and academic scholarship.  Milt is the former host of the national PBS series, Parenting Works.  He hosted two prime time specials for WPBA Channel 30, Atlanta.  Milt is the author of Nobody Wants You Child, a guide for parents who wish to teach their children the principles of successful living.  He divides his time between Atlanta and Chicago.


 

Growing Up Together is funded by state and local grants; the Capital City United Way, fees for services, donations and fundraising events.
